One job, done properly
Every app starts as a single question: what should this do perfectly? Anything that doesn't serve that answer is cut before it ships.
Independent app studio · Est. 2026
Brightkat is a tiny independent studio. Every app we make is built with care, does something genuinely useful, and stays out of your way.
How we build
They're short because we actually follow them. Every app we make has to pass all four before it gets a version number.
Every app starts as a single question: what should this do perfectly? Anything that doesn't serve that answer is cut before it ships.
No tutorials, no onboarding tours. A tap should feel like a reaction, not a decision. If a screen needs explaining, it goes back to the drawing board.
No accounts, no servers, no trackers. Every Brightkat app works fully offline and forgets nothing, because it never collected anything to begin with.
We only build things we want ourselves, and we use them every day. If something annoys us, it never ships. If it's missing, we notice first.
Our first app
Focus on the game. Tap the score on your wrist.
Tap when you win a point, on your Apple Watch or iPhone. PadelScore handles games, sets, tiebreaks and serve rotation, keeps your progress, and logs every match to Apple Health.
About us
Brightkat is run by a family who play padel enthusiastically and build software carefully. No investors, no growth team, no dark patterns.
We make the apps we wish existed, use them every day, and fix what bothers us before it bothers you.
Instant feedback on every tap. The app should react before you finish the thought.
Designed dark-first and readable anywhere: bright sun, dim room, one hand, on the move.
Everything is saved as you go. Close the app, drain the battery, come back: nothing is lost.
No notifications begging for attention. No pop-ups asking for a rating. It waits until you need it.
Say hello
A human reads every message. Usually the same day.
